Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and determination to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) companies through an engagement together with the agency's senior managers in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% from the registered pupils in the schooling sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
